We often assume better decisions require more information.

Sometimes they do.

Other times, we already possess enough information. The harder task is understanding which facts matter, recognizing our assumptions, considering consequences, and deciding when enough evidence exists to act.

Think about an important decision from your own life.

Did you need more knowledge, or did you need better judgment about the knowledge you already had?

Experience seems important only when we actually reflect upon it.

Repeating the same decision many times does not guarantee better judgment. Asking what worked and what we missed can make experience more useful.
