Think about the people you regularly encounter during an ordinary week.

Perhaps you recognize someone at a coffee shop, grocery store, gym, park, workplace, or along your neighborhood walking route. You may have exchanged dozens of greetings without ever learning the person’s name.

Then consider how the interaction changes once you introduce yourselves.

The person does not suddenly become a close friend. The connection simply becomes more personal.

That small difference can matter.

Who is one familiar person in your routine whose name you could learn this week?

I regularly recognize people during everyday errands without knowing their names. Learning even one name would make those interactions feel more personal.

Neighbors are a good example. Sometimes we know their cars, dogs, and routines long before we know their names.
