Discussion Questions
- What family recipe has been passed down through your family?
- Who taught you to cook?
- Is there a special meal that always reminds you of home?
- What traditional dish from your culture would you like future generations to continue preparing?
We would enjoy hearing your stories and celebrating the rich traditions that make every culture unique.
One of the reasons I wanted to begin this series with Kyrgyz plov is because my wife, Zara, grew up in Kyrgyzstan. Through her family, I have experienced how meals bring generations together in a way that few other traditions can.
I hope this series becomes more than a collection of recipes. My goal is to celebrate the cultures, families, and traditions behind every meal. Food has a remarkable way of connecting people across generations and around the world.
